Brent Sixkiller is the President and Founder of First Nations Consulting, a Maryland-based firm specializing in logistic and security solutions for government, tribal, and public operations. A citizen of the Cherokee Nation and native of Kenwood, Oklahoma, he brings more than 13 years of combined service in the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army, including multiple deployments to Afghanistan. His distinguished military career has been formally recognized with multiple combat awards and badges, combat citations and devices, the Purple Heart, and induction as a Legionnaire Member of the Order of Saint Maurice.
While deployed to Kabul, he survived a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device attack, sustaining a traumatic brain injury and significant physical injuries. As part of his rehabilitation and transition, Brent earned a place on Team Army for the 2018 Warrior Games in Colorado Springs, where he competed in archery and precision sports. That experience reinforced his belief in the power of adaptive sports, community, and reconnecting with what you love and what you are good at a philosophy he often summarizes as, “Don’t stop and don’t doubt yourself.”
Brent’s operational background includes advanced training and experience in Personal Security Detachment, Guardian Angel missions, sniper operations, airborne and mountain warfare, and combat lifesaver skills. He has served as a logistics lead for both the Army and Navy, managing critical inventories including medical and adaptive sports equipment. In addition, Brent has led personal security operations in support of both tribal and civilian communities, as well as efforts to recover information and resources for families in need.
Today, clients rely on Brent for disciplined, reliable, and mission-focused logistic and security support, grounded in battlefield-tested judgment, compliance with standards, and uncompromising professional integrity.
